more birthday fun

We had a small birthday party for Octavian, who was extremely fussy the whole day. The cake part was the only time he seemed to enjoy! He got clothes, toys and coloring stuff.
Don't let the cute face fool you, he goes from zero to cranky in under 2 seconds.

Octavian's First Birthday

Today is Octavian's First Birthday!! We didn't have any plans today because we having a party for him on Saturday. It has been one trying year with Octavian. From the acid reflux, not sleeping for more than an hour, not keeping a schedule, projectile vomit and to constant whinning. On a plus side, Octavian is a Handsome boy with beautiful blue eyes. He makes funny faces, gets excited when he sees Owen and when Daddy comes home. He says Uh Oh and HI. I'm trying to get him to say Cup and More. I have a feeling that this coming year will be a busy one.

A sad Goodbye

Medusa had been part of our Family for almost two years. She was an awesome pet for many reasons. She didn't need constant attention, didn't make any noise or smell, plus she couldn't stain the carpet. Medusa had a wonderful temperment and sometimes would even stayed curled up in my hand.

Recently she had gotten heat blisters on her. It broke my heart because it looked so painful. The Vet recommended a few things to help and how to get her humidity up. I was able to get the heata issue under control but no luck with the humidity. I made the heartbreaking decision to sell her in hopes that she would go to a good home with someone who has more experience. Medusa sold a lot quicker than I expected. The lady reassured me that her and her boyfriend have experience and that her dad is a Vet. So with a heavy heart, I handed her Medusa. As soon as she walked out our door, I started crying, sobbing even. Owen took it harder than I expected. He cried when he found out that Medusa was gone and he was upset with me for the rest of the night.

We loved Medusa and she was our first real pet. But I loved her more to give her away so she could get healthy again.
